Founded in 1976 by George "Buzzard" Massie, the LDMA offers member-exclusive access to campgrounds on patented mining claims in the United States. Select campgrounds offer RV hookups to make your stay more comfortable, while other campgrounds are more primitive and all about the gold. The LDMA is currently made up of more than 6,000 members who are all one big mining family.
