I always enjoy receiving a bag of pay dirt. My non member friends also want to know when I have gotten a bag so they can come over and watch me pan in my back yard. They like seeing the color show up in the pan. Sometimes they ask if I will teach them how. Well of course I do !! I get a rea sense of satisfaction when they run a pan and get color for the first time. Using all of the tools to get gold. Magnets to pull out black sands, snuffer bottles for the gold, and my special technique for final cleaning. All of it is loads of fun!

I pan the heavies out of each bag I purchase, and dry the remaining sand and save it for retirement to spin the smaller gold in my Desert Fox. This sourdough had .7gm worth of pickers! I am just collecting it, it's a great investment! One dollar is worth about 3 cents these days, gold is a great way to invest my dollars monthly. not to mention i enjoy panning it in my kitchen sink in a rubbermaid container, not losing any dirt! I love getting my dirt each month :)
Learning to pan for gold has been an absolute joy. This all started when my 5 year old grandson started to collect “cool rocks”. I started to research rocks and minerals in various locations and became a member of GPAA. It’s been fun for the whole family. I recommend GPAA for any and all gold prospectors.
