Welcome to the Gold Prospectors Association of America

The Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) was founded in 1968 by George Buzzard Massie. GPAA is a prospecting organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of prospecting for gold. They are committed to providing their members with access to quality claims, resources, education, and equipment needed to successfully find gold. GPAA holds several events each year including regional meetings, camping trips, and family outings where members can learn from experienced pros and practice their prospecting skills in a fun atmosphere. The organization also publishes a number of publications including Gold Prospector Magazine that helps inform its members about the latest news and trends in the industry.

GPAA provides members with access to exclusive gold claims, educational resources and a variety of prospecting tools. GPAA also offers helpful resources such as state-by-state information on where to find gold, what equipment to bring, and how to identify different types of gold deposits. Members can take part in organized outings, including camping trips, seminars, and even competitions. Through these events, members can gain knowledge and practice their prospecting skills while having a great time with others who have the same interests and goals.

"The mission of the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) is to facilitate and promote responsible gold prospecting by providing its members with access to exclusive claims, educational resources, equipment, and a supportive environment for sharing knowledge. We strive to foster an inclusive community dedicated to the appreciation and preservation of our natural resources while allowing everyone the opportunity to experience the excitement of finding gold."
