My daughter KK likes getting these Jr Prospector kits. She likes to bust the plaster apart to get the rocks out... we use a workbench in the shed so we do not have to worry about the mess... too much lol. She also uses a real hammer and chizel, with safety glasses on. The only Issue she finds is that after a couple years if getting these boxes, there is a repeat of the variety in them. Basicly there are three kits... the Rocks and Minerals, Fosils, and Crystals... She/We would like to see a wider variety of plaster blocks to bust apart... OR develop a kit that might have something for the kids to assemble or make... OR a STEM based project...Ideas for these might be Somthing with epsin salts... COloring and making a jar with layers of different colored salts. another Idea might be to Make your own cristals using salts or sugar with a piece of string or yarn..
Kids today are almost all connected to the internet... why not add a video or interactive on line aspect to the kit for kids to go to on line and watch, play, or interact with to make discoveries!!! ooo an interactive tour of a real gold mine would be cool...
Oh, and as for the gold... she does try to pan it out, but finds it more fun to just look through the sands with a fine sharp tweezers in hand, and try and see it first and pick the gold specks out!!

sofar great. easy to setup and run. cannot take one to the beach or anywhere besides private property or a campsite in washington state. but I ran the bag through and got the gold then ran more dirt from other places and reran what I found to see the retention rate. found the same amount and in the 2nd level or first riffle tray. definitely satisfied with this purchase. now to go to the claims and see what they have available

I actually didn't expect another GPAA Gold Pan or a Copper Pan. On top of that, also receiving a bag of Founders Paydirt along with one of the elusive Gold Nuggets. WOW!

I always enjoy receiving a bag of pay dirt. My non member friends also want to know when I have gotten a bag so they can come over and watch me pan in my back yard. They like seeing the color show up in the pan. Sometimes they ask if I will teach them how. Well of course I do !! I get a rea sense of satisfaction when they run a pan and get color for the first time. Using all of the tools to get gold. Magnets to pull out black sands, snuffer bottles for the gold, and my special technique for final cleaning. All of it is loads of fun!

The gold rush bucket works great for our quick sampling. Everything we need is in one compact bucket. Takes very little space, well organized and easy to use and setup, works fast and efficient. We have 2 Gold rush buckets we like it so well!

It was exciting panning through the dirt and finding some gold! 😎🥇

I joined GPAA in September. I received a Septmember bay of pay dirt which I believe was guaranteed 1 gram of gold. Upon panning said pay dirt bag I felt something clunking in my pan. I was astonished to find a 1.7 gram gold nugget! In all the pay dirt I panned this was by far the largest gold nugget I ever found!

I pan the heavies out of each bag I purchase, and dry the remaining sand and save it for retirement to spin the smaller gold in my Desert Fox. This sourdough had .7gm worth of pickers! I am just collecting it, it's a great investment! One dollar is worth about 3 cents these days, gold is a great way to invest my dollars monthly. not to mention i enjoy panning it in my kitchen sink in a rubbermaid container, not losing any dirt! I love getting my dirt each month :)

Learning to pan for gold has been an absolute joy. This all started when my 5 year old grandson started to collect “cool rocks”. I started to research rocks and minerals in various locations and became a member of GPAA. It’s been fun for the whole family. I recommend GPAA for any and all gold prospectors.
