My first association with GPAA started back in 1982 or 83. I enjoy the stories in the Gold Prospectors magazine. I have learned a great deal over the years. It's all about the fun of searching for it, and developing your own techniques for separating the gold from the leaveitrite. It is hard work, but most satisfying when you get that flash of color in your pan. I am too old now to roll boulders over in the streams, so I buy the GPAA gold bags for that continued satisfaction. Great fun for the whole family.
Glad to be a new member.
Happy to be back. I was a member in the early 90s and with the rise of gold prices my fever has returned. With GPAA at my side to point me to the gold I am looking forward to many adventures and that flash in my pan!
I enjoy very much the claims, meeting people in the chapters, and learning the ropes. With all things worth doing, community is important, so joining doesnt just give you claims to hunt, but the opportunity to connect with other like minded people. It is without question a great way to enter this hobby/passion.
I found it! I have been looking for an organization or club to help further my prospecting goals and I found a local chapter of the GPAA and also was excited about joining the big GPAA and plan on attending all the training I can get and looking forward to playing on the GPAA claims around the west.
Nice to find this club!
Wanted to get into a hobby that may reward me for being outdoors. Looking forward to getting out. Starter pack was a great beginning.
Keep up the good work
