I originally joined GPPA in the mid 70's. I was working at a truss yard and one of the mechanics was a friend with George Massie and was a member of the lost Dutchman association and GPPA. He would talk about claims he had in Montana. He got me to sign up to GPPA and we went off to the Cajon pass in the San Bernardino mountains. I had a 12 volt dry washer just shoved away. Didn't do it that long, they had brought a tub of water so you could learn to pan
I got enough gold to cover the bottom of my little jar. It was great fun. Doug use to write for the Gold Prospectors magazine under southern California digger doug
When gold prices went up he quit and went back to prospecting. One more thing I could of got my hard rock dynamite license for 50 dollars back then didn't do it to busy to young. John Hathaway
I had hopes of recovering nearby gold when I joined the GPAA last month. The Law of Attraction proved itself true when a Lucky Gold Nugget landed in my spanking new gold pan! Looking forward to finding more gold (outdoors) as a member of GPAA.
Thanks to all of you for making it easy to get started on a lifelong dream. The kit will make me work for what I need to get to my goal of not getting rich but to enjoy a part of life that most people will never experience
Im on year 3 now of having a GPAA membership. The knowledge and the claims you have available to you are definitely worth it! Id suggest anyone curious should give it a go.
I have watched Gold fever,Tom Massie and the Buzzard for years , still watch all the reruns. I have wanted to join GPAA at least a decade and finally financially able. Glad I am now a member and can’t wait to visit one of the camps. Life is great!
I joined in 2023, and have never looked back!
The access to so many claims was what enticed me into joining. But, as I have gotten to communicate with members in different states (namely Arizona), I have really met some great people who are friendly, helpful, and open with sharing prospecting tips and tricks, as well as best ways to get to claims.
I can't wait to get out there some more and find that shiny!
I'm so looking forward to getting out in the field. Much information in the guide!
