First I got this set to practice, very well made materials and durable for rugged terrain usage (make sure to season your panning plate for best results), scoop is at odds with nature, so make sure you have extra shovels to fit your digging site otherwise you will lose your gold, and then there’s the snuffle bottle, I used it maybe 8 times and then after that it stopped working/kept popping open, even tried gluing it in such a way so that I could continue using it, tweezers have helped tremendously and have lost it several times in the water (so make sure you have a magnet scope to retrieve it from under the water).
There’s no guarantee on the amount of gold you will receive, be aware that it will be less than expected. You are paying for the equipments and the dirt more than the gold (my bag of dirt had 0.071 grams of gold, one small nugget, 4 placers and the rest as fine gold). Remember, in the wild gold can be harder to find if you are a beginner, so the amount of gold found in this kit is a good start.
The rain gutter like thingy on the other hand needs major attention, I have tried many different hoses and connectors but they never seem to fit properly, the piece that attaches to the hose and the equipment itself tends to pop out depending on how much water pressure is going in, I have tried tread tape but does not work, it will undo itself under pressure. The other thing noted is the amount of dirt that comes out from the connector area besides the exit zone. The mat prevents proper closures in other areas as well. For a beginner, this will be a challenge to not lose your gold when using this equipment, make sure that this is in a controlled environment or a container three times its size with plenty of spacing underneath to collect the dirt that has been processed.
