Eligibility: The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) or persons living in the same household are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.
Giveaway Period: The Giveaway begins on May 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM PDT and ends on May 24, 2025, at 11:59 PM PDT (“Giveaway Period”). All entries must be received by the end of the Giveaway Period to be eligible.
How to Enter: To enter, during the Giveaway Period, visit the GPAA’s official Facebook page at facebook.com/goldprospectors and locate the Summer Gold Rush Comment Rush Giveaway post. Comment on the post with your ultimate summer gold prospecting adventure (where you would pan for gold and why). The comment must be posted directly on the original Giveaway post to qualify. Only one (1) comment per person/Facebook account will be considered an entry. Additional comments will not count as additional entries.No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or contain inappropriate content (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) will be disqualified.
Entries generated by automated means, bots, or other fraudulent methods are prohibited and will be disqualified.
Winner Selection: One (1) winner will be determined based on the eligible comment that receives the most reactions (e.g., Likes, Loves, Wows, etc.) on the original Giveaway post as of the end of the Giveaway Period. Reactions will be counted manually by Sponsor, and Sponsor’s determination is final. In the event of a tie, the tied entrant who posted their comment earliest during the Giveaway Period will be selected as the winner.
Prize: One (1) winner will receive a $50 paydirt bag (Approximate Retail Value: $50.00). The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. Winner is responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the prize.
Winner Notification: The potential winner will be notified via a direct message from the GPAA’s official Facebook account and/or a reply to their winning comment within three (3) days following the end of the Giveaway Period. The potential winner must respond within forty-eight (48) hours of notification and provide their full name, mailing address, and any additional information requested by Sponsor to claim the prize. If the potential winner does not respond within the specified time, fails to comply with these Official Rules, or is ineligible, Sponsor may select an alternate winner based on the next-highest reaction count.
Prize Delivery: The prize will be shipped to the winner’s provided U.S. mailing address within four (4) weeks of winner verification, at no cost to the winner. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, delayed, or misdelivered prizes.
General Conditions:By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who violates these Official Rules, engages in fraudulent activity (e.g., using bots or purchasing reactions), or posts inappropriate content.
Sponsor is not responsible for technical issues, including but not limited to Facebook platform errors, internet failures, or lost/delayed entries.
The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. Entrants release Facebook from any liability related to the Giveaway.
Publicity: By entering, entrants grant Sponsor permission to use their name, likeness, and winning comment for promotional purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Limitation of Liability: Entrants release Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, and employees from any liability for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in the Giveaway or acceptance/use of the prize.
Governing Law: The Giveaway is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California.
Winner’s List: To request the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to GPAA Summer Gold Rush Comment Rush Giveaway, 43105 Business Park Dr., Temecula, CA 92590. Requests must be received by June 24, 2025.
