My 12-year-old grandson, Chase, has been exploring the California mountains with me for years. I hope that being part of the GPAA Junior Prospector program will keep his passion for the outdoors alive well into his teen years. A big thank you to whoever on your team came up with this great idea—getting kids into nature, learning, and exploring is invaluable. Let’s keep our kids in the mountains and out of trouble. Older grandson has discovered girls and now races motorcross.

A fairly good amount of areas locally to hunt for gold. Really didn't need the pan that came with introductory sign up kit, i have 5 of them but they do wear out. I panned the pay dirt that came along and pulled out 0.28 gram of gold. See Photos.
